The Economics and Finance Network was launched in the fall of 2001 to reflect a broadening of APEBC's membership base to include other British Columbia professionals with an interest in business economics, economic policy and finance.

There is a large Vancouver-based chapter and an active Victoria committee, as well as members in other parts of the province.  The association maintains an office in Vancouver and is governed by an annually elected Board of Directors.
